Bill Gates' Statue Is Being Created by Nicolai Shmatko

The well-known Ukrainian sculptor, the King of marble, Nicolai Shmatko is going to create the white marble statue of Bill Gates and with one's own hand present to the richest person of our planet. He will take part in the famous Florentine Biennale in December 2007. Besides this statue Nicolai Shmatko will represent some interesting works. Alexei Dmitrenko, a patron of art from Kiev, has paid 2 450 euro for Shmatko's registra-tion (Sofiyskiy fitness centre).

For more than 30 years Nicolai Shmatko has been creating statues from marble. His gallery has more than 100 sculptures and some ideas exist in the form of pro-jects which he is going to make a reality. Furthermore the sculptor has created 10 options of the monument to the victims of the starvation period. His latest work, the statue of Bill Gates, he will present at the festival in Florence.
